Network management is a critical factor in
successfully operating a business network.Sentinet’s Network Management Service is a pro-active schedule of tasks performed to maximise availability, performance, security and control of a network and its resources. Network management is one of the most critical, yet often overlooked, factors that can affect the efficiency of your business; your network is too important to the business to be left to manage itself and network management needs to be thought of as an integral part of the network. Networks, in all but the smallest businesses, are highly complex and the business of managing networks has become increasingly difficult, as network management encompasses issues of hardware and software auditing, application version control, network security, disaster recovery planning and systems performance. The end result is that a great number of small businesses who would benefit most from managing their networks simply avoid the issue, cross their fingers, and hope that everything turns out alright.
Outsourcing your network management is a
viable alternative. Our approach has always been to provide high quality network
management services individually tailored to the needs of your business network
to help maintain efficient systems performance and keep operational costs under
control.
What We Do An engineer will attend on site to gather and analyse information about your hardware, software and procedures.

Scan the network for viral and malicious spyware programs. These scans will be performed from a cold boot outside of the normal operating system where access permits. Review configuration of hardware, software and network settings and make any relevant recommendations where performance or security will be impacted.
Review and comment on current backup procedures. We will also provide relevant documentation - tape calendars and history logs. Review and comment on current Disaster Recovery planning.
Review and make recommendations regarding the location of data (i.e. documents stored on individual PCs or central locations on the network).
